Logitech Unifying Software is the control center of the Unifying receiver.
Logitech is one of the companies speciaizing in various products for computers.

They manufacture keyboards and mice. Nowadays, many companies are developing wireless devices. Many of us have faced difficulties with the wiring of our keyboards and mice. Wireless devices allow us to move around our room with the keyboard and mouse. I feel comfortable using a bluetooth mouse when I am watching movies with Windows media player.

Now, we may have a laptop which we like to carry around with us. A single usb receiver itself will not look good on a laptop. With more devices, the shape of a laptop will look clumsy. Logitech Unifying receiver is a very small usb device that can be plugged into a laptop. We won't even feel that an external device is plugged into it. It can act as a multiple receiver for Logitech wireless keyboards and mice. It lets you connect up to six devices at one time.

The unifying software is a program that lets you configure the devices. It will automatically scan for wireless keyboards and mice and add them onto the list. We can enable or disable a certain device using the program.
